USA Judo Statement

It has come to the attention of USA Judo that one of its members has admitted to making a racially insensitive and offensive comment to another member during the Junior Olympics held last weekend.

USA Judo unequivocally condemns this statement and the behavior it represents. Such conduct is wholly inconsistent with the values of respect, inclusion, and integrity that we expect from all members of our community.

In line with our standard procedures, this matter has been formally referred to USA Judo’s Ethics and Grievance Committee for review and recommendation on further action.

We remain steadfast in our commitment to fostering a safe and respectful environment for all participants in our sport.
