Wahadachi Judo State Championships and Camp

    The Wahadachi Judo tournament is hosted every year in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This year, the tournament was hosted on January 25-26.  Saturday included a competition clinic that was lead by Brian Olson, and a Hall of Fame Dinner in which Eiko Shepard and John Jacobson ere inducted. On Sunday, they had 200 competitors ranging from 4 to 48 years old.

    “Our Judo Weekend was a great success due to the help of Henry Hummel, Randy Baures, Kathy Huff, Michael Blakeslee, Doug Tono and my wife Lynne,” said James Peterson.

    The Wahadachi Judo tournament began in 1988, (32 years).  Several years ago it became the WJI State Championships as well as a National Referee Testing and Evaluation Site.
