European Open Luxembourg

In the dark and trying times for judo in the U.S. in the month of September, there was a beacon of light as John Jayne was able to persevere and attain his first medal on the IJF tour this weekend.

Congratulations to John Jayne (-90kg) for his bronze medal win at the European Judo Open in Luxembourg.

“First medal on the IJF World Tour! There’s not a lot of points at the Continental Opens, but every little bit helps push my world ranking higher,” said John Jayne.

Jayne (USA) was amongst 354 competitors from around the world, including competitive judo countries like France, Azerbaijan, Germany, and Great Britain.
