New Britain Judo and Dynamic Arts 2019 Youth Tournament

The New Britain Judo and Dynamic Arts 2019 Youth Tournament was held on Saturday, November 2^nd in Connecticut. The tournament was a success with approximately 40 youth competitors between the ages of 5-16 from multiple states, many fighting in 2 divisions.

For this tournament, they partnered with the Connecticut Children's Medical Center by asking that spectators donate an unwrapped toy in lieu of a spectator fee. They will be continuing the toy drive throughout the month of November and early December. These toys will then be delivered to CCMC for the upcoming holidays.

Approximately three years ago they began the effort of revitalizing competitive Judo in Connecticut by cohosting the Central Connecticut Open Judo Tournament which has grown to approximately 150 competitors. They hope to grow the New Britain Judo and Dynamic Arts Youth Tournament in the same fashion.
