Bielsko Biala is one of the premier Cadet Judo Tournaments in the world, drawing in more than 500 talented judoka from nearly 50 countries.

On day one, Marisol Torro placed 5th in the 52kg division. In her first match, Marisol defeated Lymonova from Ukraine by ippon in under a minute. She fought the talented Slesarenka of Belarus in her second match, winning by waza ari. In the quarterfinals, Marisol matched up against the highly ranked, Guebli from France, who won the prestigious Zagreb Cadet Cup back in March. After a tough give and take battle, Marisol was able to secure a pin and score the decisive point. After losing to the number one seed, Nugaeva from Russia in the semis, Marisol faced Fluetsch from Switzerland in the bronze medal match. But with a wazari for Switzerland in overtime, Marisol took 5th place.

On day two, Nick Yonezuka (-73kg) won by ippon against Lopeze of France, Slyteris of Lithuania, and Gulbiani of Georgia. In the quarterfinals, Nick faced Duyck from Belgium where he ultimately lost by shidos in golden score and in repechage against Sjymbaliou of Belarus, Nick got sukashied, ending 3-2 for the day. Natalija Stanjevik took 7th in the +70kg category. After a loss against Japan in the preliminary round, Nataljia beat Zagirova of Russia in Repechage by ippon. In her final match against Russia again, Nataljia fell short claiming a 7th place finish.

The team will be training in Poland for the next three days before heading to Portugal to compete at the Coimbra Cadet European Cup.
