IBSA Tokyo International Judo Championships

    The Tokyo International Judo Championships included over 70 athletes from 15 different countries.

    Ricky Ties (-90 Kg) started his day by beating Matsumoto of Japan by ippon. He ultimately lost his next two matches to Stewart of Great Britain on penalties and Cretul of Moldavia by ippon.

    Ben Goodrich (-100 Kg) won his first two matches by beating Matsumoto of Japan by ippon and Ilhan of Indonesia by way of medical walkover. In the Finals, Ben lost a close match to Shelley of Great Britain, earning him a Silver medal.

    The next stop on the tour is the German Open and Training Camp in Heidelberg.
