Cadet European Cup Fuengirola

Noran Elmahroukey takes 5th at the Cadet European Judo Cup in Fuengirola, Spain.

Elmahroukey was seeded 5th in the 52kg cadet category. 

In the preliminary rounds, Noran went on to win the following matches: 

• First Match against Beorlegui Oses (ESP) - won by wazari
• Second Match against Vecchiato (ITA) - won by ippon in 2 minutes and 27 seconds
• Third Match against Oldak (POL) - won by wazari

A loss in the semi-final match against Toro Soler (ESP) sent Elmahroukey into repechage to fight for bronze against Nugaeva of Russia. Her two losses of the day were against the eventual Gold (ESP) and Bronze (RUS) medal winners.
