San Jose Buddhist Judo Club and Sensei Memorial Invitational

On February 10, 2019, San Jose Buddhist Judo Club hosted their 71st Annual Tournament and 27th Annual “Sensei Memorial” tournament at the San Jose State University Event Center.
The event hosted 725 competitors, ages 5-56 years old.
Athletes and clubs competed for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals, 1st-5th place Club Championship plaques, and monetary prizes for the black belt divisions.
Over 70 referees attended to officiate, including 10 A-Referees. The event served as a regional and national referee certification and evaluation site.

The event also include a workout/clinic the day before the tournament where attendees had the opportunity to workout with the SJSU National Training Center team members and coaches.
