San Jose Buddhist Judo Club and Sensei Memorial Invitational

On February 10, 2019, San Jose Buddhist Judo Club hosted their 71^st Annual Tournament and 27^th Annual “Sensei Memorial” tournament at the San Jose State University Event Center.

The event hosted 725 competitors, ages 5-56 years old.

Athletes and clubs competed for 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place medals, 1^st-5^th place Club Championship plaques, and monetary prizes for the black belt divisions.

Over 70 referees attended to officiate, including 10 A-Referees. The event served as a regional and national referee certification and evaluation site.

The event also include a workout/clinic the day before the tournament where attendees had the opportunity to workout with the SJSU National Training Center team members and coaches.
