Christian Konoval is top finisher at Paris Grand Slam

With a seventh place quarterfinal finish in the men's +100kg division Christian Konoval is top finisher for USA Judo at the 2021 International Judo Federation Paris Grand Slam in France, October 16-17. Konoval defeated Musumadi Clement of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Finland’s Puumalainen Martti before falling to Cyrille Maret of host country France in the quarterfinals. Maret went on to win the silver medal. Konoval exited the tournament losing to Spijkers Jur of The Netherlands in the first round of the Repechage.
