USA Judo IJF Academy - Online Course

Attention Coaches...

The IJF Academy has announced their upcoming online certification courses. Please find the detailed information below.

Important: All participant nominations (registrations) must be submitted through USA Judo. If you are interested in participating, please review the attached document carefully and respond via email to Corinne Shigemoto, indicating which course you wish to enroll in.

Deadline for submission to USA Judo is Friday, July 11.
Once registered with the IJF Academy, they will contact you directly with further instructions.

Note: A Gmail account is preferred for registration and communication with the IJF Academy.

Undergraduate Diploma as Judo Coach - UDJC

COURSE TIMELINE OF SEMESTER 1

First day: Monday, August 4, 2025

Last day: Sunday midnight, December 7, 2025


COURSE TIMELINE OF SEMESTER 2

First day: Monday, March 9, 2026

Last day: Sunday midnight, June 21, 2026

The IJF Academy will invite eligible students to enroll on Semester 2. Eligibility criteria: a student who completes all online modules of Semester 1 (minimum of 60% pass rate or higher).

COURSE FEES

1. EURO 1,500 - NEW

• Eligible students who finished the UCJI Certificate with 80% or higher results in both Nage-waza and Katame-waza during the UCJI Practical Session.

• This indicated course fee does not include the participation cost of the practical session! The students or the Federation must cover flights and the cost of board and accommodation during the practical session.

• Practical sessions for the UDJC course will be held once a year, next in 2026. The location and dates will be published in the News and Resources section on the IJF Academy platform.


2. EURO 1,150 – UPGRADE

• Eligible students who have previously finished the Level 2 – Coach and UCJI Certificate courses. These students must complete the online modules in both semesters.

Undergraduate Certificate as Judo Instructor – UCJI

New applicants without previous qualifications (e.g., Instructor – Level 1) must apply online and in practical sessions. The UCJI course is available in Arabic, Azeri, Chinese, English, French, Japanese,

Georgian, Hungarian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Serbian, Slovakian, Spanish and Turkish.

All the previous qualifications (Instructor – Level 1) obtained by graduated students will remain valid. Still, those who want to upgrade to the newly accredited courses can apply for the online phase only and get the Undergraduate Certificate Judo Instructor qualification.

Last day: Sunday midnight, December 7, 2025


COURSE FEES

1. EURO 900 - NEW students to the Undergraduate Certificate Judo Instructor. This fee does not include the participation cost of the practical session! The students or the Federation must cover flights and the cost of board and accommodation during the practical session.

Practical sessions for the UCJI courses will be organized in 2026. The location and dates will be published in December 2025.


2. EURO 550 - UPGRADE students to the Undergraduate Certificate Judo Instructor course (online only).

The course fee must be paid before the first day of the course


Registration must be made through USA Judo. Send your name and email address (Gmail account preferred) to Corinne Shigemoto, no later than Friday, July 11, to register.

Deadline to submit request for registration to USA Judo is Friday, July 11. Please be sure to indicate which course you are registering for.
