(Colorado Springs, CO) – As a participant in USA Judo’s Judo in Schools & Communities program, Judo Today is seeking full-time judo instructors to lead programs at Catholic high schools throughout South Florida.

Led by Hector Lans, a fifth-degree black belt and co-founder of the A. Kolychkine Judo Foundation, Judo Today is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at preparing youth for a brighter future through the sport of judo and Christian moral principles.

A Call to Instructors

The Judo Today program starts with foundational accredited courses within Catholic high schools located throughout South Florida and advances to varied levels of expertise, which will support each school’s future varsity team.

The program is seeking passionate, skilled and dynamic instructors to pioneer this program within the program’s Catholic schools throughout South Florida and other states nationwide.

Instructors will be selected from Judo Today’s vetted pool and will be instrumental in nurturing not just athletes but disciplined and confident individuals. As a physical education teacher within the faculty of each school, full benefits are provided and salaries range between $45,000 - $75,000 depending on experience, college degree and certifications.  A bachelor’s degree is required and/or World/Olympic level judo experience.

Judo instructor roles will involve:

  • Ensuring a safe, supportive, moral, and motivating environment for all students
  • Delivering high-quality judo education
  • Obtaining technical guidance and training determined by the Judo Today team
  • Engaging with the broader school community to promote physical fitness and Judo as a disciplined lifestyle choice
