2024 U.S. Adaptive Coaching Clinic - Basic (Level C)

There is a large, talented, and eager population of Adaptive (special needs) judokas just waiting for clubs to open their doors to them!  This 8-Hour basic course will help instructors, coaches, and volunteers who are interested in teaching judo to Adaptive students.  The course will include Classroom instruction as well as a practical “on the mat” session with several Adaptive judo students.  The course focuses primarily on teaching students with developmental disabilities.  Various behavioral teaching methods and Special Needs Judo Union Rules will be explained.  The course is recommended for all judo instructors, coaches, referees, volunteers, or any other judoka who would like to work with Adaptive students.  Certificates will be provided upon successful completion of the course.

$50.00 (will go to help fund the 2024 Pan American Adaptive Judo Championships 2 days after the clinic)

ELIGIBILITY:

Current USA JUDO members.


This is an 8-hour clinic for judo instructors, coaches, or volunteers who would like to learn about Adaptive (special needs) Judo rules and teaching methods. Attendees will receive a certificate at the end of the course. Lunch is provided.
