He respects all of his students and the parents, welcoming anyone who comes into his dojo. Sensei Colton helps them improve, whether it be for a tournament or just improving for randori, and I can see it. He has helped everyone improve and grow, including myself. He is personal with all of his athletes and helps push them to their goals.” -CLARA NOTOPRADONO

The club also works with kids who have been assigned to judo by the court system instead of juvenile hall for rehabilitation. In addition, Riverside hosts an annual all-women's cancer awareness tournament, the only one in the U.S. All proceeds benefit breast cancer research. This year’s proceeds were $28,000. Riverside Youth Judo also hosts two annual Pan American Adaptive Judo Tournaments for special needs judo players at different levels from North and South America.” –BRADLEY KARMANN
Referee of the Year - Tracy Crawford
“Tracy is one of the most level-headed and fair-minded referees I have ever dealt with. When she is on the mat, it is immediately less stressful for coaches and athletes, because I know she will deal with any issues fairly and quickly. Off the mat, she is always approachable and helpful. Her demeanor and character are always professional and friendly. She is not only up to date on the current ruleset and interpretation of how to apply it, but she can explain it in a way that coaches, competitors, and parents understand and accept.” –JAMES DONOVAN
