To be eligible for performance incentive funding, athlete must win a minimum of three matches, no byes, no walkovers, no round robins.
Athlete International A-Level Incentive Pool – Grand Slam / IJF Masters Events / IJF World Championships

Any non-funded athlete that places 5th or better at an Asian or European Grand Prix, Grand Slam, Masters or World Championships will be reimbursed their hotel expenses and up to $1000 for airfare to the event to that event.
All flight expenses are considered as flights to/from country of competition to/from training location in the U.S. unless otherwise approved by the High Performance Director. All hotel expenses are the cost of boarding and do not include incidentals unless otherwise approved by the High Performance Director.
USA Judo will select the (7) highest-ranked athletes ages 18-23 from the Senior IJF World Ranking List (WRL) as of January 1, 2026. Those athletes will receive:
- Eight (8) nights room (Bed and Breakfast – double room w/ roommate)
- Up to $1200 in airfare
Note, in order to receive funding, athletes must commit to competing in their respective weight division and attend all sessions of the training camp.
USA Judo will select the five (5) highest-ranked athletes from the Senior IJF World Ranking List (WRL), ages 18–23, who are mathematically qualified for the 2026 Senior Pan American Championships as of February 16, 2026.

Non-Stipend Athlete Funding
USA Judo will select non-stipend athletes ranked within the Top 30 of the Senior IJF World Ranking List (WRL) as of March 9, 2026. Those athletes will receive:
- Four (4) nights lodging (double room – bed and breakfast)
- $500 stipend toward airfare
Note, in order to receive funding, athletes must commit to competing in their respective weight division
U23 Athlete Funding
USA Judo will select the six (6) highest-ranked athletes from the Senior IJF World Ranking List (WRL), ages 18–23 as of March 9, 2026.
Athletes ranked within the top four (4) will receive:
- Four (4) nights lodging (double room – bed and breakfast)
- $500 stipend toward airfare
Athletes ranked fifth (5th) and sixth (6th) will receive:
- Four (4) nights lodging (double room – bed and breakfast)
Note, in order to receive funding, athletes must commit to competing in their respective weight division.
