Athlete Stipends and EAHI Eligibility and Criteria Approved for this Term
Athlete Stipends and EAHI eligibility across all Olympic weight categories will be based on the IJF Olympic Ranking List (ORL), the final Olympic Games qualification list, the 2024 Olympic Games results and the IJF Individual World Ranking List (WRL).
An athlete ranking will be determined after removing duplicate countries and host countries from the ranking list. For example, if a U.S. athlete is ranked 11th on the ranking list but Japan has two athletes ranked in the top 10, the U.S. athlete would be considered to be ranked 10th as the second athlete from Japan would be removed. In addition, host country athletes will be removed as they automatically receive a bid for each of the Olympic weight categories. This is consistent with the Olympic qualification process as each country can only enter one athlete per weight division at the Olympic Games. Athletes qualifying for resources remain eligible until the next evaluation date.
Eligibility for Athlete Stipends and EAHI resources will be evaluated on January 1 (for January - March) and April 1 (for April - June) using the IJF Individual Olympic Ranking List (ORL).
Eligibility for Athlete Stipends and EAHI resources will be evaluated on July 1 (for July - December) using the final Olympic Games athlete qualification list AND the ORL as of July 1. At this point, Athlete Stipends will only be paid to 2024 Olympic Team members. Athletes ranked in the top 25 who do not qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games will not receive a stipend from July - December. The stipend amounts will be based on the July 1 ORL. If an Olympic Team member wins a medal at the 2024 Olympic Games, their stipend will be $2,500 per month from August - December.
