Junior Athlete Funding Criteria
USA Judo will provide funding to six (6) athletes based on the criteria below.
1. IJF Junior World Ranking List
Athletes ranked in the Top 10 of their respective weight division on the IJF Junior World Ranking List as of March 9, 2026, will receive:
- Three (3) nights of room and board (double occupancy with a roommate)
- $500 stipend toward airfare
2. IJF Junior National Ranking Roster
If fewer than six (6) athletes meet the criteria above, the remaining funding spots will be filled using the highest-ranked athletes, regardless of gender or weight division, from the USA Judo IJF Junior National Ranking Roster as of March 16, 2026.
Medalists from the 2025 Junior Pan American Championships ranked within the top 5 on the USA Judo Junior National Ranking Roster (combined both men and women) as of July 25, 2025, OR those ranked within the top 10 on the IJF Junior World Ranking as of August 1, 2025, will receive the following:
- 5 nights (full board – double room w/ roommate)
- $500 stipend toward airfare
Medalists from the 2025 Junior Pan American Championships ranked within the top 7 on the USA Judo Junior National Ranking Roster (combined both men and women) as of July 25, 2025, will receive the following:
- $500 stipend toward airfare
Medalists from the 2025 Junior Pan American Championships AND athletes ranked within the top 10 on the IJF Junior World Ranking List as of June 30, 2025 (following Santo Domingo) will receive the following funding:
- 7 nights room (full board - double/triple with roommate)
- $500 stipend towards airfare
- USA Judo will combine all weight categories across both male and female on the IJF Junior National Ranking Rosters. Those ranked in the top five (5) in point totals as of March 30, 2025, will receive five (5) nights room and board (double room w/ roommate) as well as a $500 stipend towards airfare.
Medalists from the 2025 Junior Pan American Championships will receive the following funding:
- 12 nights room (double/triple with roommate) and bed and breakfast for the competitions. Full board during camp.
- $500 stipend towards airfare
- $50 stipend towards travel between Prague and Paks
